Enough.  It’s an interesting word.  What is enough?  When is “it” enough.  Who appears to be enough?  Will we every have enough…?Screen-shot-2015-04-24-at-11.57.28-AM.png

You are enough.  Enough is defined as “as much as or as many as required.”  The beautiful truth is that no one is perfect, few people truly identify 100% with the season of life they are in or the person they are when they are all alone and no one has it figured out.  Read it again, you are enough.

You are enough.  You were created with purpose.  You were created with intentionality, not by accident.  “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mothers’ womb.” Psalm 139:13.  God has plans for you even when you don’t know what to do.  God created you and equipped you with incredible gifts, a combination that no one else on this earth and gifts that we as a world desperately need.

You are enough.  There are seasons that the questions feel endless, the trials seem drowning and the weight of life seems unbearable.  If people tell you it isn’t true they are lying or you need to check back with them in a few years.  It happens to all of us.  There is hope.  One day, one step at a time, sometimes maybe one moment at a time is all you can do and friend, that is good.  “For I know the plans I have for you… plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  Jeremiah 29:11.  This season has significance to your story and we, the world, need to hear it and how you prevailed.

You are enough.  No matter what someone has spoken over you when you were a child, a teenager, a young adult, a significant other or friend, let me tell you “You were bought with a  price, do not become slaves of men.” 1 Cor. 7:23  You, who you were at your lowest and darkest were worth a Father giving His son for you.  Not on your best day, not with your life cleaned up, not with your internal walls built high, but in your brokenness, in your worst moment, He saw you and loved you relentlessly and said “you’re worth it, I choose You.”  You, me, we don’t have to be defined by what someone once said, we can choose freedom.

You are enough.  The world will ask us to compromise.  The world will tell us what “should be.”  The world will define you if you allow it.  Who are you?  What are you passionate about?  When do you feel alive as a person?  What are you living for?  What do you want to be known for?  To be remembered by?  To be loved for?  To be pursued for?  Social media is the highlight reel of everyone’s life and will eat you alive at the game of comparison if you allow it.  Hold to what you value, hold to it with a strong yet delicate balance of truth and compassion.  We need both.  Don’t compromise your values or act confused when the world asks how you feel about an issue, speak with truth and compassion.

Enough.  As a nation and as a people will never reach enough.  Our lines will continue to blur, nonsense laws will continue to pass and we will lose what once made us- America, great.   My conclusion is this- You were made for a purpose.  You are equipped with that you need, you are empowered to lead in your area and you are loved unconditionally for who you are and who you were created to be.  Men, you were made to be men and we need you to be men- leaders, providers, protectors and God fearing men that will lead your families.  Women, we need to be women- strong in who we are, passionate about our giftings, life-giving to our families and leaders in the circle of influence that we have.  YOU are enough.  You are equipped with what you need, you are empowered to lead in the area you are in and you are loved unconditionally for who you are and who you were created to be.

Tell someone your story- it’s beautiful, I promise and you are enough.
